CAO No Longer

The District of Summerland has issued a press release stating our CAO is no longer employed in that capacity. I am sure more details will follow. With our long-time planner currently on leave, the Mayor no longer seeking re-election, and now the CAO gone, I wonder what is going on down at Municipal Hall. At the very least, we can hope the pace of some development plans slow down substantially.

  • What a strange, short press release. No comment on where Evan is going, no "we wish him well" type of statement.

  • This council is leaving office as it came in. No leadership from the mayor with poor decisions coming to light. Lets see...they have gone through two CAO's and a Director of Public Works. Seems to me that Council is trying to lay blame on staff.

  • Going through that much staff in such as short period of time, would definately seem like it is a council problem - not a staff problem. Hope they are gone next election.

  • And now there is a call for a "Communications Officer". I think that the mending of the internal communication preceeds the external communication. Too little to late....they need a good internal coach!

    Cheers,

    Coach Laurie
